Lessons
I teach lessons from my studio in Pittsford. In-home lessons may be possible in some cases.
Voice Lessons
Age 9 - Adult
Improve your sound quality and your ability to communicate with an audience through the study of proper breath technique, clear diction, and musical expression. Learn to read music more efficiently through use of solfege exercises. (For those that do not read music yet, combined voice and piano lessons are recommended.) Lessons can help students prepare for upcoming auditions. Two student recitals per year allow students the opportunity to perform for parents and friends and to meet other students.
Recommended lesson time:
- Age 9 - 11, 30 minutes
- Age 12 and up, 45 minutes
In order to make progress, students must practice regularly. Beginners are encouraged to practice 15-20 minutes a day. For more advanced singers, 30 minutes a day may be beneficial.

Age 6 - Adult
In addition to learning piano technique, students will further their musical literacy and knowledge of music theory. As with any skill, learning to play the piano well requires regular practice. Beginners should aim for at least 15-20 minutes of practice per day. For very young beginners, 10 minutes per day may be enough. Two student recitals per year allow students the opportunity to perform for parents and friends and to meet other students.
Recommended lesson time:
- 45 minutes
- 30 minutes for beginners
